There are many guides and outfitters operating nowadays.  Some run exceptional camps, some are mediocre, and some are downright poor.  How does one go about selecting an outfitter with whom you'll be comfortable spending your hard-earned money?  The answer is easy:  Do your homework and call as many references as you can!

I began guiding professionally in 1990.  I have worked 14 years in Alaska guiding hunting and fishing trips, and have guided duck and goose hunters on the Garwood Prairie of Texas since 1986.  I have worked and hunted in some of the finest camps in Alaska, Texas, and Argentina, and I know what it takes to provide a top-quality, top-notch outdoor experience.  Through the years I have met and become friends with some of the finest guides and outfitters in Alaska.  I know the Game Management Units (GMUs) that are providing the largest animals, and which have the largest populations of animals.  I know which outfitters are 100% committed to your success while at the same time following the rules of fair chase.

I am a Registered Guide in the State of Alaska, #1088.

I spend several weeks each year traveling in Argentina to be sure our lodges and outfitters are providing the quality services upon which we base our reputation.

I actively manage the Pintail Hunting Club in Garwood, Texas.  I believe we have the finest duck and goose hunting program on the Gulf Coast.  Our guides are second to none, our chef is outstanding, and our house staff works hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.  The hunting ground we actively manage are often the envy of the prairie.

My wife and I have been married for 10 years and have two beautiful daughters.  We are Christians and I run our operations accordingly.
